2026 Conference and Schedule Release

The WPIAL has released the 2026 Lions schedule and conference alignments. The Lions return to some familiar faces in AAAA while also maintaining some South Hills opponents as the enter the season..

The Lions open their season with a scrimmage at the vaunted Wolverena. The Lions will take on Coach Spieler's alma mater the Woodland Hills Wolverines. Week Zero, the Lions will welcome nationally ranked RB Armand Hill and the West Mifflin Titans for Senior Night. Peters Township visits the Lions for Youth night before the Montour Spartans close out the homestand for homecoming.  The Lions continue their tour of south hills school by visiting Trinity in Week four and Upper St Clair in Week five.  

The Lions were placed in the South conference and will play those five schools at the end of their schedule. First on the list is the "Battle of the Bridge" as Chartiers Valley visits South Fayette. The Lions will then make back to back trips to Albert Gallatin and Laurel Highlands before returning home for the Hall of Fame Game versus Uniontown. The Lions will finish their 2026 regular season on the road versus the Ringgold Rams.
