Lions shine under the lights with a Hot Start in the Battle of the Bridge

Your South Fayette Lions took advantage of an early run game and defensive pressure to dominate the Chartiers Valley Colts in the Steelers Game of the Week 35-7. A fast start and swarming defense had the Lions jump out to a 35-0 lead behind a return of starting QB Braeden Plasko. Plasko led the Lions with 14 carries for 201 yards rushing and two TDs. Sophomore RB Aayden Wright added 13 carries for 86 yards in the first half.

Defensively, the Lions got back in the turnover column with two interceptions in the first quarter by Senior Alex Deanes and Junior Gavin Schmitz. Both leading to scores. The Lions added another fumble recovery in the fourth quarter by Michael Walsh winning the critical turnover battle.

The Lions begin a two game road trip South. Starting with Albert Gallatin on Friday October 9.
